How to install a driveway gate or side gate

Driveway Gates

WITH ALUMINIUM POSTS
These installation instructions are relevant to all full privacy and partial privacy driveway gates.
Step 1
Measure and secure your aluminium posts either by concreting these into the ground or fixing them with the bolts (which are included) into a solid surface.

Step 2
Start with the bottom hinge first. Place floor mounted hinge in location on a solid surface floor at your intended measurement to your post. Mark the fixing positions on the surface floor, drill through enough for the bolt size and then secure your floor mounted hinge in place with bolts provided.

(If your driveway gates are accommodating any ground automation, please skip to step 3 after automation has been installed).

Step 3
Place one of your driveway gates on top of the bottom-mounted hinge or ground automation. Level the driveway gate to mark the fixing position for the top adjustable mounted hinge.

Step 4
Drill pilot holes into post, then secure your wall mounted hinge with bolts provided.

Step 5
Repeat above steps for the other side of your driveway gate, making sure your measurements and levels are correct.

Step 6
Once both gates are installed, you can now adjust your margins either side of your gate to level your gates and increase or decrease any gaps.

Step 7
Handle set (optional)

Your driveway gate handle set will come pre-drilled and fixed for you. If you change the gates around, you may need to switch the handle over. Unscrew the handle and turn it 180 degrees; ensure your handles are in place properly with the screw side facing inwards towards your property.

Gate stop (optional)
Close your driveway gates level. Mark the fixing positions on the surface floor, drill pilot holes enough for the bolt size and then secure your gate with bolts provided.

I was initially impressed by the reviews and then the website, which gave clear and useful information about the gates and installation. The gate looks amazing. Everything about the company is quality. The delivery was excellent and you could tell the staff are proud to work for the company.
Ordered an aluminium gate which was delivered in the timeframe they said and is of very high quality. I couldn’t seem to find the second cover cap for the hinge so I asked if I could be sent one and received it 2 days later! Fantastic service!

I ordered some gates from Residential Gates Ltd and was told the lead time. They were delivered swiftly and efficiently and well within the stated time. Packaged well and in perfect condition upon arrival. The gates are finished well and all of the components are of a very high standard. They were easy to install and adjust. Two of the gates were a custom size to suit a larger opening as a pair and these included a shoot bolt to go into the floor. All of the fittings were easy to adapt and move to suit. My customers were extremely happy with their new gates and find them easy to open, close and lock. Jason at Residential Gates was very friendly and knowledgable about their product and all correspondence was easy to understand. I would highly recommend using them and I would happily use them again without any concerns.
